Step Closer To Little Angel Miniature Painting



I am moving in to the next phase on my latest miniature painting (3.5 inch by 2.5 inch ACEO). I added the rich blue ink wash in the background which then accentuates the dynamic composition. I like how having Little Angel off center adds nice drama between her wing and the negative space behind her.

Below is a close up of the tiny dots I use called stipple:


Mom is content with the morning paper and her cup of warm decaf coffee.

I don't know how you have the patience to striple!

Thanks Gail. I know, stipple can be so tedious, but the effect is great! Especially with media like colored pencil or watercolor over it, letting all that great ink show through.
