Spent The Day Getting Her Settled Into College

My beautiful, brilliant, and talented daughter is now attending Bard College At Simons Rock.

The early college describes itself:

"What if you could leave high school after the 10th or 11th grade and start college?"

Getting her all set up and tucked into the dorms was an all day event. It was the culmination of two years of crossing our "I"s and dotting our "T"s, of processing loans, acquiring grants, receiving scholarships, attending interviews, writing essays, re-writing essays... and, it was all so worth it! The college is beautiful and sincerely dedicated to giving those unique young students, who would have "spun their wheels" at public high school, an opportunity to shine. I am exhausted today, but so full of pride and joy.

I hope your day is just as joy filled!

What mixed feelings you have Melody - how wonderful to see them heading off to face these exciting opportunities, and I'm sure your daughter will be so happy there, but also a tug at the heartstrings as your babies leave the nest.
